Regular Season Round 25: Hanau - Koblenz 76-68

The game between second ranked Koblenz (16-5) and tenth ranked White Wings (8-12) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Koblenz was defeated by White Wings in a tough game in Hanau 68-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Koblenz. Philip Hecker (193-2002) stepped up and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American swingman JD Tisdale (196-1993, college: Rogers St.) chipped in 17 points and 4 steals. Tisdale is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Dominique Johnson (194-1992) responded with 21 points and 8 rebounds and forward Brian Butler (196-1991) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. Koblenz's coach Gerard Gomila rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. White Wings moved-up to ninth place in South, which they share with Giessen 2. Newly promoted Koblenz keeps the second position with five games lost. White Wings is looking forward to face higher ranked OrangeAcademy (#4) in Ulm in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Koblenz will play at home against Speyer and is hoping to win this game.
