Regular Season Round 24: Neustadt TSV - Wolfenbuettel 119-98

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Neustadt TSV (15-9) rolled over at home 11th ranked Wolfenbuettel (7-14) 119-98 on Saturday. Neustadt TSV dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Wolfenbuettel's 46 and made 34-of-39 free shots (87.2 percent) during the game, while Wolfenbuettel only scored ten points from the stripe. Neustadt TSV forced 21 Wolfenbuettel turnovers. The winners were led by Dutch point guard Dyon Doekhi (188-1987) who scored that evening 32 points and 4 assists and Jannik Lodders (198-1992) supported him with 17 points and 6 assists. Neustadt TSV's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 38 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals by naturalized American point guard Anish Sharda (187-1982, college: St.Mary's, KS) did not help to save the game for Wolfenbuettel. British-Israeli power forward Joshua Djanogly (207-1998, college: McGill) added 10 points and 9 rebounds. Five Neustadt TSV and four Wolfenbuettel players scored in double figures. Neustadt TSV maintains fourth position in North with 15-9 record. Wolfenbuettel lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 14 games lost. Neustadt TSV will meet Bergedorf (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wolfenbuettel will play against Aschersleben and hope to secure a win.
