Regular Season Round 25: Bball Loewen - Coburg 106-102

Everything went according to plan in Erfurt where third ranked Loewen (15-7) beat 7th ranked Coburg (9-12) 106-102 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Loewen made 34-of-42 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. American Tyseem Lyles (185-1992, college: Mercy) fired a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his fourteen free throws !!!) for the winners. Ivorian-French swingman Guy Landry Edi (202-1988, college: Gonzaga) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Spanish guard Jose Carrasco (186-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 assists and 7 steals and naturalized American point guard Tyreese Blunt (190-2002) added 22 points respectively for lost side. Four Loewen and five Coburg players scored in double figures. Coburg's coach Valentino Lott let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Loewen have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain third place in South with 15-7 record having two points less than leader Muenster. Loser Coburg keeps the seventh position with 12 games lost. They share it with Oberhaching. Loewen will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Coburg will play against Bayern (#12) and hope to secure a win.
