Regular Season Round 24: Balikesir - TED Ankara 88-73

An interesting game took place in Balikesir, where higher ranked TED Ankara (10-13) lost to thirteenth ranked Balikesir (9-14) in a road game 73-88 on Monday. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of TED Ankara. Strangely TED Ankara outrebounded Balikesir 44-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Kahlil Dukes (183-1995, college: Niagara) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists and the other American import forward Carlton Bragg Jr (208-1995, college: N.Mexico) who added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Four Balikesir players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Keshun Sherrill (175-1994, college: Augusta) with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Jamaican forward Joel James (208-1994, college: UNC) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 19 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Balikesir maintains thirteenth position with 9-14 record. Newly promoted TED Ankara dropped to the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Balikesir will meet higher ranked OGM Orman (#5) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. TED Ankara will play against Konyaspor (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
