Not a big story in a game in Quakenbrueck where 15th ranked Artland Dragons (10-18) were outplayed by fourth ranked Leverkusen (17-11) 103-65 on Tuesday. Leverkusen looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard Quentin Goodin (193-1997, college: Xavier) scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and center Dennis Heinzmann (216-1991) chipped in 9 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Jonas Weitzel (205-1998) with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (195-2001) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leverkusen maintains fourth position with 17-11 record, which they share with Trier. Loser Artland Dragons keep the fifteenth place with 18 games lost. Leverkusen will meet Phoenix Hagen (#7) on the road in the next round. Artland Dragons will play against Lions (#8) in Karlsruhe and hope to secure a win.
