There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Rhein Stars (6-15) outleveled on the road higher ranked Rist Wedel (13-9) 74-47 on Wednesday. The former international point guard Andrej Mangold (191-1987) scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Vincent Golson Jr (173-1994, college: CSUDH) chipped in 19 points during the contest. Croatian Martin Jelic (198-1999) responded with 13 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Jordan Walker (184-1997, college: Morehead St.) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Rhein Stars maintains eleventh position in North with 6-15 record. Rist Wedel at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost.
