There was no surprise when 8th ranked Kangaroos (9-11) were defeated on the road by second ranked Wolmirstedt (15-6) 97-89 on Wednesday. Wolmirstedt forced 22 Kangaroos turnovers. Point guard Martin Bogdanov (186-1992) scored 24 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Bill Borekambi (198-1992, college: Sequoias CC) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. French-Guinean Tidjan Keita (207-1996) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and Croatian point guard Toni Prostran (183-1991) scored 7 points and 14 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Wolmirstedt have an impressive six-game winning streak. Newly promoted Wolmirstedt maintains second position in North with 15-6 record having five points less than leader Muenster. Kangaroos lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 11 games lost.
