Regular Season Round 25: Braunschweig - Goetting.ASC 112-86

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked SG Braunschweig (10-14) smashed at home their close opponent Goetting.ASC (9-14) 112-86 on Thursday. SG Braunschweig dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Goetting.ASC's 46. They outrebounded Goetting.ASC 45-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. SG Braunschweig looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Swingman Brandon Tischler (198-2000) fired 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Joshua Burgunder (194-2001) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. SG Braunschweig's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Nick Boakye (197-1995) produced a triple-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists and Christopher Schultz (194-2003) added 21 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five SG Braunschweig and four Goetting.ASC players scored in double figures. Newly promoted SG Braunschweig maintains ninth place in North with 10-14 record. Goetting.ASC lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. SG Braunschweig will meet higher ranked WSG Koenigs (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Goetting.ASC will play against Cuxhaven and hope to secure a win.
