Regular Season Round 26: Yerevan - Artsakh 104-85

Very significant was Yerevan's (#2, 12-4) victory against 4th ranked Artsakh (6-12) 104-85. The game was mostly controlled by Yerevan. Artsakh was better in fourth quarter 24-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Yerevan forced 21 Artsakh turnovers and outrebounded them 53-39 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Artsakh's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Autummn Williams (178-1995, college: Alaska-Anch.) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals to lead the effort and forward Aaliyah Rice (175-1997, college: Montevallo, agency: Domantay Sports) supported her with 24 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Worth to mention Rice played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. Even 30 points and 8 assists by guard Nyra Williams (165-1998, college: VCU) did not help to save the game for Artsakh. Andrea Wright (179, college: Bucknell) added 20 points and 15 rebounds for the guests. Yerevan have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-4 record having seven points less than leader Hatis. Artsakh at the other side keeps the fourth place with 12 games lost. Yerevan's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Yerevan to the arena .
