Rather predictable result in Istanbul where ninth ranked Uludag (12-14) smashed 11th ranked Cesme (9-17) 77-58 on Friday. Uludag forced 26 Cesme turnovers. The best player for the winners was American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) who scored 22 points and 9 rebounds. The former international forward Deniz Colakoglu (185-1987) chipped in 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Uludag's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Serbian center Milena Marjanovic (193-1991) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and forward Dilek Dedeoglu (183-1983) added 19 points and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Uludag moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Fenerbahce G. Cesme lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 17 games lost. They share it with Tarsus. Uludag will meet bottom-ranked Samsun (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cesme will play against Antalya (#14) and hope to secure a win.
