Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked CSM Targoviste (7-15) was rolled over on the road by third ranked Arad (20-3) 83-50 on Friday. The game without a history. Arad led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CSM Targoviste to just 2 points in fourth quarter. Arad dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to CSM Targoviste's 22. They outrebounded CSM Targoviste 49-18 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Andreona Keys (178-1995, college: Purdue) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Laura Vaida (190-2001, college: UMass Lowell) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds. Keys is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Arad players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international Gabriela Irimia (183-1990) produced 19 points (made all of her seven free throws) and the former international guard Ancuta Stoenescu (175-1980) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Arad maintains third place with 20-3 record behind leader Sf.Gheorghe. CSM Targoviste lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with 15 games lost. Arad will meet Alexandria (#4) on the road in the next round. CSM Targoviste will play against Brasov (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
