Regular Season Round 19: Falcon - Herlev 82-68
Date: March 18, 2022
Very significant was Falcon's (#1, 14-1) victory against 4th placed Herlev (5-10) 82-68. It looked good early as Herlev took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Falcon had a 21-14 second period charge getting the lead and Herlev was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-82. Falcon forced 22 Herlev turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for international guard Elisabeth Brynaa (176-1993) who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. International point guard Gritt Ryder (175-1992, college: Colorado St.) accounted for 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. Canadian forward Brittney Thibeaux (183, agency: Jones Sports International) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and forward Emilie Larsen (177-2001) added 19 points respectively for Herlev in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Falcon have a solid series of four victories in a row. Newly promoted Falcon maintains first place with 14-1 record. Defending champion Herlev keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Falcon will play against league's second-placed Amager in Kastrup in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Herlev will play on the road against SISU in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
