Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Istanbul: Dacka (#3) and Efes (#2). Dacka (17-6) won against visiting Efes (17-5) 85-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Efes. It was a great shooting night for Dacka especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American point guard Troy Caupain (193-1995, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. International point guard Dogus Ozdemiroglu (191-1996) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Dacka players scored in double figures. International point guard Ahmet Tuncer (193-1993) replied with 25 points and 7 assists and international guard Shane Larkin (182-1992, college: Miami, FL) added 9 points and 4 assists in the effort for Efes. Efes' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Dacka have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-6 record having four points less than leader Fenerbahce. Defending champion Efes keeps the second place with five games lost. Dacka will play against Bursaspor (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Efes will play against Socar Petkim (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
