Regular Season Round 25: Stuttgart - Kronberg 72-73

The most exciting game of round 25 in the Regionalliga took place in Stuttgart. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of much higher ranked Stuttgart (14-5) to sixth ranked Kronberg (11-6) 73-72 on Saturday evening. Kronberg made 26-of-30 free shots (86.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 27 Stuttgart turnovers. Strangely Stuttgart outrebounded Kronberg 35-23 including 21 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Stuttgart helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Ben Karbe (202-2002) stepped up and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners and Darian Ceh chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Greek guard Vassilis Lampropoulos (196-1990) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Jalen Fouda (191-1999) scored 12 points, 5 assists and 5 steals. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Stuttgart's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Kronberg moved-up to fourth place in South West. Stuttgart at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Kronberg are looking forward to face TV Langen (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Stuttgart will play against Fellbach (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
