There was a small surprise in Ankara where tenth ranked Turk Telekom (5-10) defeated 8th ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (7-8) 79-74 on Saturday. Turk Telekom forced 20 Pinar Karsiyaka turnovers. The best player for the winners was point guard Batuhan Acar (179-2002) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Mevlut Dogan (201-2003) chipped in 6 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Demircan Demir (-2004) who recorded 23 points and 5 rebounds and Yusuf Akbiyik (-2003) added 16 points respectively. Four Pinar Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Turk Telekom moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Tesvikiye. Loser Pinar Karsiyaka keeps the eighth position with eight games lost. Turk Telekom will meet Tofas (#11) in the next round. Pinar Karsiyaka's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Izmir Ozel Gelisim Koleji.
