Regular Season Round 20: KOS - Lions 98-77

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked KOS as it allowed them to take a leadership position. KOS smashed 4th ranked Lions in Celovec 98-77. The game without a history. KOS led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Lions' players. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian forward Marko Gutalj (201-2000) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and Slovenian forward Erik Groznik (201-2000) who added 16 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four KOS players scored in double figures. KOS's coach Rok Heiligstein felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mali-French Tim Troussel (203-1995, college: Newman) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 17 rebounds and Greek guard Panagiotis Zaraidonis (193-1995, college: LeMoyne) scored 26 points and 9 rebounds. KOS have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Lions at the other side keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Lions will play next round against strong BBU trying to get back on the winning streak. KOS will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Raiders Tirol in Innsbruck.
