Very expected game when 14th ranked Urla (7-20) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Adana (14-13) 75-66 on Wednesday. Adana outrebounded Urla 53-31 including a 40-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for American-Nigerian power forward Ashley Ezeh (191-1992, college: Texas St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. The former international center Yasemin Gunes (189-1993) helped adding 9 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Adana players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Akilah Bethel (183-1993, college: LSU) with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and Beril Arik (-1994) scored 26 points. Adana have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 14-13 record. Loser Urla keeps the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Adana will meet higher ranked Rize (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
