There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Hertener Loewen (10-14) beat at home higher ranked Leverkusen 2 (13-12) 61-52 on Wednesday. Hertener Loewen forced 24 Leverkusen 2 turnovers. American guard Adam Pickett (185-1994, college: Winthrop) had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and French forward Cedric Perry (195-1997, college: Pasco-Hernando) chipped in 6 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Nicolas Funk (185-2001) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Soeren Queck scored 11 points. Leverkusen 2's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help.
