Top ranked Giessen Pointers (17-6) recorded its sixth loss on the court of fourth ranked Kronberg on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Kronberg 77-55. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Ben Karbe (202-2002) who scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Darian Ceh chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Four Kronberg players scored in double figures. Swingman Karl Maruschka (197-2002) produced 4 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and Robin Njie (198-2001) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Giessen Pointers' coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Kronberg maintains fourth position in South West with 13-7 record. Giessen Pointers at the other side still keep top place with six games lost. Kronberg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Giessen Pointers will play at home against Mannheim and are hoping to win this game.
