Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Buyukcekmece (5-18) lost on the road to fifth ranked Gaziantep (15-9) 80-72 on Saturday. Gaziantep outrebounded Buyukcekmece 35-23 including 27 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. It was an exceptional evening for Jarmar Gulley (196-1991, college: Missouri St.) who led the winners and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Ryan Luther (206-1995, college: Arizona) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Point guard Jordon Crawford (168-1990, college: BGSU) came up with 25 points and 5 assists and guard Ian Miller (191-1991, college: FSU) added 19 points respectively for Buyukcekmece in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gaziantep maintains fifth place with 15-9 record. Buyukcekmece lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Gaziantep will meet higher ranked Dacka (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Buyukcekmece will play against Yalova (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
