Regular Season Round 20: SKM II - Tornado KM 69-82

There was no surprise in Vilniaus where 9th ranked SKM II (6-14) was defeated by fifth ranked Tornado KM (11-9) 82-69 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 82-69. Tornado KM forced 25 SKM II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Sarunas Morkevicius (181-2004) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Zilvinas Rusys (170-2004) who added 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Four Tornado KM players scored in double figures. Swingman Mantas Janciauskas (193-2004) responded with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Gustautas Bliujus (200-2004) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Tornado KM have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place. Loser SKM II keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. Tornado KM will meet at home league's second-placed SKM I in the next round and it may be the game of the week. SKM II will play against Saule (#11) in Siauliai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
