Regular Season Round 19: Vihar Aytos - Dunav 90-84

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Dunav (2-13) was defeated on the road by third ranked Vihar Aytos (7-8) 90-84 on Sunday. Vihar Aytos made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Dunav turnovers and outrebounded them 50-25 including a 23-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Stoyan Milchev (185-1995) had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (went 15 for 15 at the free throw line !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Georgi Stoyanov (-2004) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Stoyan Ganev (198-2005) with 25 points and 9 rebounds and forward Asen Neykov (194-2005) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Dunav players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Vihar Aytos maintains third position in A with 7-8 record having six points less than leader Chavdar. Dunav at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the sixth place with 13 games lost.
