An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Targu Mures. Second ranked Targu Mures faced 4th placed Agronomia. Host Targu Mures (16-1) smashed guests from Bucuresti (11-6) 106-47. The game without a history. Targu Mures led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Agronomia's 22. Targu Mures forced 22 Agronomia turnovers and outrebounded them 46-24 including a 33-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Targu Mures looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Agronomia's players. The best player for the winners was Belarusian-Moldovan Vladislav Solopa (202-1995) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Szabolcs Santa (208-1987) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Targu Mures players scored in double figures. Targu Mures' coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Adrian Oprea (193-1995) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and guard Alexandru Lazar (187-2002) added 8 points respectively for the guests. Targu Mures have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Newly promoted Targu Mures maintains second place with 16-1 record behind leader Stiinta. Agronomia at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. Targu Mures are looking forward to face Oradea 2 (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
