Second Stage Round 5: Triglav - Ilrija 91-54

An interesting game for Triglav (13-2) which hosted in Kranj 4th placed Ilrija (4-10). First ranked Triglav had an easy win 91-54. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Ilrija's 32. Triglav forced 19 Ilrija turnovers and outrebounded them 46-23 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-1993) stepped up and scored 13 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners and forward Stasa Osterman (180-2004) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Triglav players scored in double figures. Coach Gasper Sluga's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Hana Sambolic (176-2004) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Alina Zitek (181-2005) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Triglav have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-2 record, which they share with Celje. Ilrija at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Triglav will again play against Ilrija (#4) in Ljubljana in the next round. Ilrija will play on the road against Konjice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
