There was no surprise in Allmendingen where 17th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (1-30) was crushed by third ranked Science City Jena (20-9) 84-52 on Wednesday. Science City Jena dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Ehingen/Urspringschule's 20. They outrebounded Ehingen/Urspringschule 45-19 including a 34-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Science City Jena looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Clinton Chapman (208-1989, college: Texas) stepped up and scored 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners and his fellow American import center Alex Herrera (206-1992, college: Fort Lewis) chipped in 9 points and 10 rebounds.
