KBSL top team - Fenerbahce (20-2) had no problems winning another game on Wednesday. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Kayseri (7-16) in Istanbul 96-58. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kayseri. They outrebounded Kayseri 42-24 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fenerbahce shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Kayseri's players. It was a quality performance for German forward Satou Sabally (193-1998, college: Oregon) who led the winners and scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Kayla McBride (180-1992, college: Notre Dame) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. American point guard Sheylani Peddy (170-1988, college: Temple) came up with 16 points and 4 steals and the other American import swingman Brooque Williams (172-1989, college: California, PA) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Kayseri in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Fenerbahce. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-2 record. Loser Kayseri keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. They share it with Antalya 07. Fenerbahce will meet at home Nesibe (#4) in the next round. Kayseri will play against Botas A. (#5) and hope to secure a win.
