We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Bursa where 10th ranked Turk Telekom (5-11) was defeated by eleventh ranked Tofas (5-11) 76-68 on Thursday. Tofas made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game, while Turk Telekom only scored five points from the stripe. Tofas forced 19 Turk Telekom turnovers. It was a great evening for center Baran Yurdusen (198-2004) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Berke Buyuktuncel (202-2004) helped adding 14 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side Ahmet Gunes (-2004) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and Kerem Sariaslan (-2004) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tofas moved-up to tenth place, which they share with defeated Turk Telekom. Tofas will meet at home higher ranked Anadolu Efes (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Turk Telekom will play against the league's second-placed Besiktas (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
