Second Stage Round 7: Wolfpack - Vaerlose 93-95

Third-ranked Wolfpack (4-18) made lots of trouble for second ranked Vaerlose (9-13) in Herlev. The visitors from Vaerlose managed to secure only two-point victory 95-93. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Mikkel Hauge (193-1999, college: Seattle) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. Point guard Asbjorn Nerlov (196-1998) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. The former international forward Leonardo Carlino (198-2000) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Andreas Mortensen (190-2001) added 8 points and 7 assists in the effort for Wolfpack. Wolfpack's coach Adrian Moss tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Vaerlose have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Copenhagen. Wolfpack lost thirteenth consecutive game. They keep the third place with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
