Regular Season Round 29: Karsiyaka - Emlak 51-93

TKBL top team - Emlak (28-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Karsiyaka (10-18) in Izmir 93-51. Emlak dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Karsiyaka's 28. They outrebounded Karsiyaka 45-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. Emlak players were unselfish on offense dishing 33 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Karsiyaka's players. Forward Hande Kuzu (182-1990) nailed 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Binnur Aydogmus (-2000) accounted for 9 points and 7 rebounds. Emlak's coach Murat Alkas felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Power forward Betul Erkoyuncu (190-1996) came up with 11 points and 5 rebounds and forward Doga Comba (185-1994) added 4 points and 8 assists respectively for Karsiyaka in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for Emlak. They maintain first place with 28-1 record. Karsiyaka lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 18 games lost. Emlak's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Uludag.
