The game in Trier was also quite interesting. Third ranked Tigers (21-9) played at the court of 5th ranked Gladiators (18-13). Tigers managed to secure a 7-point victory 88-81 on Saturday. American forward Ryan Mikesell (201-1996, college: Dayton) stepped up and scored 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and his fellow American import Isaiah Crawley (201-1998, college: Georgia South) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was point guard Garai Zeeb (187-1997) with 20 points and 7 assists and American center Austin Wiley (211-1999, college: Auburn) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Four Gladiators players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers moved-up to second place. Loser Gladiators keep the fifth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Bayer Giants. Tigers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gladiators will play against Ehingen/Urspringschule (#17) in Allmendingen and hope to secure a win.
