We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Guimaraes where Ovarense was defeated by Vitoria SC 95-91 on Saturday. Vitoria SC made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. American point guard Malcolm Drumwright (188-1995, college: JSU, agency: DC Sports) fired 28 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Point guard Carlos Cardoso (183-1997) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. American swingman Kameron Chatman (206-1996, college: Detroit) produced 23 points and the other American import Kameron Hankerson (196-1998, college: Green Bay) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Five Ovarense players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Vitoria SC will meet Academica in the next round. Ovarense will play against Illiabum and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
