Very predictable result when seventh ranked Sibiu (14-12) edged on the road 15th ranked Miercurea Ciuc (5-21) 78-75 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Miercurea Ciuc won third quarter 24-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Tanner McGrew (203-1993, college: WVWC, agency: Duran International) who had a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Lithuanian Justas Tamulis (196-1994) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Sibiu's coach Miguel Angel Hoyo allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian swingman Mihajlo Bogdanovic (197-1996) who recorded 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian forward Lam Lock (206, college: Lakehead) added 17 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sibiu have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 14-12 record.
