Regular Season Round 24: Bursa - Cankaya 95-89

The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Bursa's (13-11) home victory over 8th ranked Cankaya (9-15) 95-89 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Bursa especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was who scored 26 points and 7 rebounds. Gizem Uca (170-1994) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Bursa players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Tan White (170-1982, college: MSU) who recorded 36 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 7 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and her fellow American import swingman Alexis Prince (188-1994, college: Baylor) added 23 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Bursa maintains seventh position with 13-11 record. Cankaya at the other side dropped to the ninth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Hatay. Bursa will meet higher ranked Galatasaray (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cankaya will play against Kayseri and hope to secure a win.
