The game with biggest result difference took place in Klaipeda. Local Neptunas (10-14) outscored 9th ranked Nevezis (5-19) 95-61. They outrebounded Nevezis 48-23 including a 36-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Neptunas players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Nevezis' players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Zygimantas Janavicius (193-1989, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 13 assists. Power forward Julius Jucikas (205-1989, agency: BIG) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Neptunas' coach Tomas Gaidamavicius felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Croatian guard Sven Smajlagic (196-1990) replied with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Latvian Rihards Kuksiks (201-1988, college: Arizona St.) added 12 points in the effort for Nevezis. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neptunas maintains eighth position with 10-14 record. Nevezis lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with P.Zvaigzdes. Neptunas will play against higher ranked Dzukija (#7) in Alytus in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Nevezis will play at home against Siauliai and hopes to get back on the winning track.
