We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Darussafaka (9-8) rolled over 6th ranked Ozel Gelisim Koleji (8-8) in Izmir 94-71 on Sunday. Darussafaka dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Ozel Gelisim Koleji's 34. Darussafaka had a 37-25 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The winners were led by center Bora Yasar (206-2003) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds and Ege Ozcelik (-2003) supported him with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Even a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds by forward Mehmet Atalan (198-2003) did not help to save the game for Ozel Gelisim Koleji. Guard Ozgur Cengiz (177-2005) added 14 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Darussafaka moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Fenerbahce and Galatasaray. Loser Ozel Gelisim Koleji dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Darussafaka will meet at home bottom-ranked Petkim Spor (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ozel Gelisim Koleji will play against the league's second-placed Besiktas (#2) in Istanbul and hope to secure a win.
