Very expected game when 10th ranked Turk Telekom (5-12) lost to third ranked Besiktas (12-5) in Ankara 60-76 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Besiktas made 8 blocks. The winners were led by Ege Ozsever (-2003) who scored that evening 11 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and Yigit Coban (-2002) supported him with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by forward Mevlut Dogan (201-2003) did not help to save the game for Turk Telekom. Point guard Batuhan Acar (179-2002) added 14 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Besiktas have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Loser Turk Telekom keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Tofas. Besiktas will meet at home Ozel Gelisim Koleji (#7) in the next round where they are favorite.
