Very predictable result when fifth ranked ALBA Berlin (17-6) rolled over at home 11th ranked Bayreuth (11-17) 87-53 on Monday. ALBA Berlin looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Bayreuth's players. The winners were led by the former international center Johannes Thiemann (206-1994, agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 20 points and 4 assists and naturalized Brazilian Oscar Da Silva (206-1998, college: Stanford, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 20 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Even 10 points and 7 rebounds by Estonian forward Janari Joesaar (198-1993, college: UTRGV) did not help to save the game for Bayreuth. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
