An interesting game for Tigers (23-9) which hosted in Tuebingen one of their biggest challengers Science City Jena (21-10). Second ranked Tigers managed to get a 13-point victory 98-85. Tigers shot 60.7 percent from the field and made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Tigers forced 20 Science City Jena turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 58.3 percentage. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Science City Jena's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American Isaiah Crawley (201-1998, college: Georgia South) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-1999) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Tigers' coach Daniel Jansson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Davonte Lacy (194-1993, college: WSU) replied with 18 points and his fellow American import swingman Brandon Thomas (198-1984, college: UMass, agency: Interperformances) added 18 points in the effort for Science City Jena. Five Science City Jena players scored in double figures. Tigers have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 23-9 record having just one point less than leader Rostock. Science City Jena at the other side keeps the third place with ten games lost. Tigers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Science City Jena will play on the road against Rasta Vechta and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
