Finals Game 5: Anagennises - AEL 70-49

The game was mostly controlled by Anagennises. AEL managed to win second period 18-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding AEL to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Anagennises held AEL to an opponent 24.1 percent shooting from the field compared to 35.6 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded AEL 50-35 including 19 on the offensive glass. Anagennises looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Cassidy Mihalko (180-1995, college: CBU) stepped up and scored 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners and Mezra Torlak (172-2002) chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists. The former international swingman Petra Orlovic (178-1990) responded with 26 points and 7 rebounds and the former international guard Anthia Papadouri (168-1993) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
