The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Hopsi Polzela's (2-3) road loss to eighth ranked Zlatorog (3-1) in Lasko 66-77 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 45-28 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Domen Lorbek (198-1985) who led the winners and scored 29 points. Guard Jan Copot (199-2001) accounted for 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. The former international guard Miha Vasl (192-1992, agency: PEPI SPORT) came up with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and Jan Rizman (196-1994) added 18 points respectively for Hopsi Polzela in the defeat. Zlatorog used an opportunity after Rogaska lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Hopsi Polzela dropped to the tenth place with three games lost. Zlatorog will meet at home Sentjur (#9) in the next round. Hopsi Polzela will have a break next round.
