Regular Season Round 28: Tuebingen 2 - Mannheim 89-73

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Tuebingen 2 (14-8) beat at home 13th ranked Mannheim (8-16) 89-73 on Saturday. Tuebingen 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The winners were led by point guard Niklas Schueler (183-1997) who scored that evening 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Nico Hihn supported him with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) by American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-1991, college: AAMU) did not help to save the game for Mannheim. Swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-1992) added 9 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals for lost side. Mannheim's coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Tuebingen 2 have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in South West. Mannheim lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Tuebingen 2 will meet at home league's leader Giessen Pointers in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Mannheim will play against Kronberg (#5) and hope to secure a win.
