Very expected game in Istanbul where 8th ranked Ozel Gelisim Koleji (8-9) was defeated by second ranked Besiktas (13-5) 82-76. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Besiktas brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. Kerem Konan (198-2004) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and Yigit Coban (-2002) accounted for 19 points, 10 rebounds and 8 blocks. Guard Ozgur Cengiz (177-2005) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals and forward Muhammet Gunes (201-2003) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Ozel Gelisim Koleji in the defeat. Four Besiktas and five Ozel Gelisim Koleji players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Besiktas. They maintain second place with 13-5 record having just three points less than leader Gaziantep. Ozel Gelisim Koleji at the other side keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. Besiktas will play against bottom-ranked Petkim Spor (#12) in Izmir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ozel Gelisim Koleji will play at home against the league's leader Gaziantep (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
