U19 League top team - Gaziantep (16-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Turk Telekom (5-13) 82-63. Gaziantep forced 20 Turk Telekom turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Turk Telekom's players. Arda Birkeser (-2005) nailed 18 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Koray Cekici (186-2002) accounted for 7 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. Forward Mevlut Dogan (201-2003) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Batuhan Acar (179-2002) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Turk Telekom in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Gaziantep. They maintain first place with 16-2 record. Turk Telekom lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Tofas. Gaziantep will play against Ozel Gelisim Koleji (#8) in Izmir in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Turk Telekom will play at home against Darussafaka and hopes to get back on the winning track.
