Second Stage Round 9: Galatasaray - Tofas 77-70

Everything went according to plan in Istanbul where fifth ranked Galatasaray (10-8) beat 10th ranked Tofas (5-13) 77-70. Guard Ege Yildizoglu (186-2004) nailed 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and Umut Sener (-2002) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds. Center Baran Yurdusen (198-2004) came up with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Bora Satir (190-2002, agency: BeoBasket) added 16 points and 8 assists respectively for Tofas in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Galatasaray moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Darussafaka. Tofas at the other side keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Turk Telekom. Galatasaray will play against Tesvikiye (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Tofas will play against Fenerbahce in Istanbul and hopes to get back on the winning track.
