Regular Season Round 32: Dinamo B. - Constanta 76-57

Rather expected game when 11th ranked Constanta (12-16) was smashed by eighth ranked Dinamo B. (14-15) in Bucuresti 76-57 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Dinamo B.. Constanta managed to win fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Constanta to just 6 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Constanta 45-30 including a 34-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by American forward Cecil Williams (198-1995, college: CMU) who scored that evening 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Ricky Tarrant (188-1993, college: Memphis) supported him with 16 points and 4 assists. Four Dinamo B. players scored in double figures. Even 9 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals by Slovenian Zan Kosic (188-1993) did not help to save the game for Constanta. American center Jakob Lowrance (206-1997, college: Central Mo., agency: One Motive Sports) added 17 points and 6 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dinamo B. maintains eighth position with 14-15 record. Loser Constanta dropped to the ninth place with 16 games lost. Dinamo B. will meet at home higher ranked Craiova (#5) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Constanta will play against the league's leader Cluj Napoca (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
