Regular Season Round 32: Timisoara - Oradea 62-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Oradea's (21-7) road victory over 5th ranked Timisoara (17-11) 67-62 on Tuesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Timisoara won third quarter 21-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Oradea dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Timisoara's 30. The winners were led by American forward Garlon Green (201-1991, college: TCU, agency: Slash Sports) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import Mark Ogden (206-1994, college: Dixie St.) supported him with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Four Oradea players scored in double figures. Oradea's coach Cristian Achim used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds by international center Alexandru Olah (210-1993, college: Northwestern) did not help to save the game for Timisoara. American guard Darrion Strong-Moore (185-1994, college: UAFS) added 12 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Oradea have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Timisoara dropped to the sixth position with 11 games lost. Oradea will meet league's second-placed Voluntari on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Timisoara will play against Miercurea Ciuc (#16) and hope to secure a win.
