Very important is a road loss of second ranked Besiktas (13-6) against twelfth ranked Petkim Spor (3-16) on Wednesday night. Visiting Besiktas was defeated by Petkim Spor in Izmir 80-70. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Besiktas. Petkim Spor players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Anil Cevahir (-2003) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 4 assists. Gokay Hacioglu (-2002) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Five Petkim Spor players scored in double figures. Ege Ozsever (-2003) replied with 26 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Yigit Coban (-2002) added 17 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Besiktas. Besiktas' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Petkim Spor maintains twelfth position with 3-16 record. Besiktas at the other side keeps the second place with six games lost. Petkim Spor's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Izmir to the arena Pinar Karsiyaka.
