Second Stage Round 10: Naestved - Randers 90-85

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Randers (17-10) against fifth ranked Naestved (17-10) on Thursday night. Visiting Randers were defeated by Naestved in a tough game in Naestved 85-90. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Randers. Naestved players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Burkinabe-American Bubu Palo (185-1991, college: Iowa St.) notched 23 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and American Kameron Williams (188-1994, college: Ohio St.) supported him with 24 points and 4 assists. Even 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists by American guard Brandon Randolph (187-1995, college: Utah Valley) did not help to save the game for Randers. The former international guard Jonathan Klussmann (190-2002) added 24 points for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Randers' coach Charlie Burgess rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Naestved moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Randers. Naestved will play against league's leader Bakken in Aarhus in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Randers will have a break next round.
