Regular Season Round 29: Mannheim - Kronberg 105-70

An interesting game took place in Mannheim where higher ranked Kronberg (14-9) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Mannheim (9-16) 105-70 on Saturday. Mannheim dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kronberg's 30. They outrebounded Kronberg 50-31 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Mannheim looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Kronberg's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-1991, college: AAMU) who had a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-1992) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Mannheim players scored in double figures. Center Julian Reinwald (210) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and guard Tim Steiner (186-1992) added 18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Mannheim moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Bensheim. Loser Kronberg keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Mannheim will meet higher ranked Fellbach (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kronberg will play against Tuebingen 2 and will have a slim chance for a victory.
