Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Tesvikiye (9-11) won against at home 11th ranked Turk Telekom (5-15) 85-78 on Monday. Tesvikiye forced 19 Turk Telekom turnovers. Strangely Turk Telekom outrebounded Tesvikiye 57-36 including a 24-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was an exceptional evening for Utku Pelit (-2003) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Ege Eskinazi (-2002) accounted for 18 points and 8 assists for the winning side. Tesvikiye's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ismet Ozturk (-2004) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds and Demir Dagaan (-2005) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Turk Telekom in the defeat. Four Tesvikiye and five Turk Telekom players scored in double figures. Tesvikiye moved-up to eighth place. Turk Telekom lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Tesvikiye will meet at home Ozel Gelisim Koleji (#9) in the next round. Turk Telekom will play against Pinar Karsiyaka in Izmir and hope to secure a win.
